Kara Williamson
Creative Artist / Music Producer / DJ
Kara is a Los Angeles-based creative artist, producer, DJ, and musician exploring the connections between music, emotion, movement, and culture. Through sound, storytelling, and visual identity, she creates work that feels both intimate and alive — inspired by late nights, human connection, and the energy of creative communities.
I am passionate about producing music and creating my own vibe in any environment. In 2025, I was a finalist in the Your Shot DJ competition and played a set at Catch One LA. Since the competition, I have continued DJing around LA and Orange County and curating mixes.
In 2024, I began working as an assistant engineer at MAPS Recording in Fullerton, CA, and recording at home.
In the studio, I worked with engineers, producers, and artists to develop their craft and bring projects to life in genres ranging from indie rock to punk, hip hop, and metal.
My home recording process allows me to practice my skills from the studio, pursue independent learning, and push my creativity by exploring my unique sound.

One of my favorite experiences to date has been producing my own music-centered podcast, On Loop with Kara.
Creating this platform allowed me to dive into the music industry in a unique way, blending my personal passion with professional growth.
On Loop became a space to explore the stories behind rising musicians, connecting me with artists, audiences, and industry insights that continue to shape my path.
This experience not only fulfilled me personally but also pushed me professionally, allowing me to sharpen my skills in production, interviewing, and digital promotion while deepening my love for music and storytelling.
Let’s be real — life’s too short to follow the rules and hide your wild side. Break free and own it.
Fat Dog Jail is a brand for the unapologetic — those who embrace the chaos and refuse to take life too seriously. We’re here to celebrate individuality, rebellion, and the art of not giving a f*ck.
Wear it loud and wear it proud — because life’s too short to blend in.
I’ve been deep in the Adobe universe since high school, back when designing talent show flyers felt like a major creative milestone.
Since 2020, I have taken that early love for art and design and turned it into a freelance career.
From designing logos and advertisements for small businesses, to producing social media content for musicians and developing full brand identities for my own projects like On Loop with Kara and Fat Dog Jail, I pride myself on the eye-catching and innovative vibe I bring to every project. I thrive on collaborating with people to create something incredible and put all of my heart and passion into every work.
From fall 2021 to spring 2022, I served as the Social Media Marketing Coordinator for Swamp Records, the University of Florida’s student-run record label.
In this role, I collaborated directly with artists to develop digital content strategies and complete targeted marketing campaigns aimed at growing their audience and enhancing their brand visibility.
Working closely with each artist, I created engaging social media content and crafted promotional tactics to align with their unique style and goals. My work included content planning, video editing, graphic design, and developing campaigns that drove engagement and visibility across platforms.
This experience not only honed my skills in social media marketing but also deepened my understanding of the strategic, creative, and technical aspects of promoting artists in a competitive industry.
