KARA WILLIAMSON

I'm Kara, a Los Angeles-based musician and music producer with a lifelong passion for crafting sounds that captivate, inspire, and connect.

My work is rooted in a deep love for music and the arts, driving me to create projects that resonate with listeners and leave a lasting impact.

From developing powerful soundscapes to leading production with intention, my goal is always to move people—one note, one beat, and one story at a time.

Musician / Producer

I am passionate about producing, recording, and playing guitar, so I have begun working as an assistant producer and engineer at MAPS Recording in Fullerton, CA, and recording at home.

In the studio, I work with engineers, producers, and artists to develop their craft and bring projects to life in genres ranging from indie rock to punk, hip hop, and metal.

My home recording process allows me to practice my skills from the studio, pursue independent learning, and push my creativity by exploring my unique sound.

Let’s be real — life’s too short to follow the rules and hide your wild side. Break free and own it.

Fat Dog Jail is a brand for the unapologetic — those who embrace the chaos and refuse to take life too seriously. We’re here to celebrate individuality, rebellion, and the art of not giving a f*ck.

Wear it loud and wear it proud — because life’s too short to blend in.

One of my favorite experiences to date has been producing my own music-centered podcast, On Loop with Kara.

Creating this platform allowed me to dive into the music industry in a unique way, blending my personal passion with professional growth.

This experience not only fulfilled me personally but also pushed me professionally, allowing me to sharpen my skills in production, interviewing, and digital promotion while deepening my love for music and storytelling.

On Loop became a space to explore the stories behind rising musicians, connecting me with artists, audiences, and industry insights that continue to shape my path.

From fall 2021 to spring 2022, I served as the Social Media Marketing Coordinator for Swamp Records, the University of Florida’s student-run record label.

In this role, I collaborated directly with artists to develop digital content strategies and complete targeted marketing campaigns aimed at growing their audience and enhancing their brand visibility.

Working closely with each artist, I created engaging social media content and crafted promotional tactics to align with their unique style and goals. My work included content planning, video editing, graphic design, and developing campaigns that drove engagement and visibility across platforms.

This experience not only honed my skills in social media marketing but also deepened my understanding of the strategic, creative, and technical aspects of promoting artists in a competitive industry.
